Does Tenant Folder file my tax return?
No. It keeps every rent payment and every cost as you go and adds them up for the income year, 1 July to 30 June, ready for you or your accountant to check. Nothing is sent to the Mauritius Revenue Authority by this app.
Does it tell me how to evict a tenant?
It helps you prepare, and it stops well short of advice. Possession here means lodging a plaint in the District Court for the district the property is in, on one of the grounds in the Landlord and Tenant Act, and the Court decides — there is no notice to serve first and no notice period. Tenant Folder keeps the record and prepares the paperwork; an attorney runs the case.
Do my tenants need to download anything?
No. Tenants get a simple link to their own restricted workspace where they can report repairs and see only what you choose to share.
Is it complicated to set up?
No. Add a property, add a tenant, and you are running. Large text, plain words, no jargon.
What does it cost?
